When should you use Supplier Override?

Supplier Override is useful when:

  • Your current supplier is out of stock, has raised the price, or no longer meets your needs.

  • You found another supplier for a product that is already selling in your store.

  • You are moving a product from another importing app to Importify.

  • You want to connect an existing store product to Importify without creating a second product page.

The selected store product is updated instead of duplicated, and its existing product URL stays in place.

Before you override a product

  • Open the exact supplier product you want to use as the replacement.

  • Confirm that the replacement has the variants, images, price, and specifications you need.

  • Copy any current product information you may need later. Supplier Override has no undo.

  • Check custom SKUs and barcodes. The confirmation screen states that these fields will be replaced.

Supplier Override is available on every Importify plan.

How to replace a product with Supplier Override

  1. Open the new supplier product page. Start with the product that should replace the existing item in your store.

  2. Click the Importify Add button. The product editor opens with the supplier listing ready to review.

  3. Turn on Override existing product. This switch is off by default. Once you turn it on, the normal Add to your Store action changes to Override.

  4. Search for the existing store product. Select the exact product page you want to keep.

  5. Click Override Product. Importify shows a confirmation screen before changing anything.

  6. Review every field that will be replaced. The confirmation includes the title and description, variants and price, images, tags, product type and collection, SKU, and barcode.

  7. Confirm the override. Continue only when you are certain that you selected the correct store product and supplier listing.

  8. Check the updated product. Open the product in your store admin and on the storefront. Confirm the URL, title, description, images, variants, price, SKU, and barcode.
